Transfer news: Arsenal striker, Giroud close to signing for Chelsea

Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud, is close to leaving for Chelsea.

According to Italian football expert, Gianluca DiMarzio, talks between the two London clubs “are progressing well”.

Giroud was pictured in Arsenal training on Monday, ahead of their Premier League trip to Swansea City on Tuesday, in deep discussion with manager Arsene Wenger.

It is understood that the Gunners will allow the Frenchman leave for Stamford Bridge, if they pay his £35million asking price.

The Gunners are close to finalising an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, after their latest bid of around £60m.

Antonio Conte is in search of a target man in the winter transfer window.

With two days left before the window shut, the Blues are desperate to wrap up a deal quickly.
