Steer clear of ‘immaterial political dead woods’ – NAC Chairman, Olapade Agoro cautions Obasanjo

National Chairman, National Action Council, Dr. Olapade Agoro on Monday warned former President Olusegun Obasanjo to steer clear of some politicians whom he called “immaterial political dead woods.”

The duo of Gana and Adeniran DAILY POST recalled recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

But Agoro in a statement sent to DAILY POST on Monday in Ibadan the Oyo state capital, declared that it made mockery of Obasanjo’s global respect and his much talked ‘about Coalition of Nigeria Movement’, to become suddenly a travelling companion of Chief Olu Falae’s SDP.

He added that though nothing was expected “to come out of a dry pot of knowledge,” it was highly stunning and embarrassing to hear that the same Olusegun Obasanjo was busy wooing the likes of Senate President Bukola Saraki, House of Reps Speaker, Yakubu Dogara and Governor of Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwa with Jerry Gana and Tunde Adeniran in the the fold of his new found Third Force, the SDP.

Agoro said in the statement that “It smacks nonsense innuendo for those like Obasanjo celebrating immaterial political dead woods of the likes of Messrs Jerry Gana and Tunde Adeniran who recently jumped the fence into the Social Democratic Party’ an already enmeshed and marooned ship with 100 million Sambo Dasuki corruption scandal.

“It makes mockery of Olusegun Obasanjo’s global respect commanding rubbishing his much noised about ‘Third Force’ in Nigeria Political scene with his ‘Coalition of Nigeria Movement’ , the launch of which took place February 18 2018 at PROTEA HOTEL, Ikeja Lagos, and which event was well attended by great Nigerians like Chief Olisa Agbakoba SAN, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chief Donald Duke and Mallam Rabiu Kwakwanso, to become suddenly a travelling companion of Chief Olu Falae’s Social Democratic Party (SDP).

“Like nothing expected to come out of a dry port of knowledge, it becomes highly stunning and embarrassing to some of those of us lured to the so called ‘Coalition of Nigeria Movement’ to hear that same Olusegun Obasanjo was busy wooing the likes of Senate President Bukola Saraki, House of Rep Speaker Yakubu Dogara and Governor of Sokoto Aminu Tambuwa with Jerry Gana and Tunde Adeniran in the the fold of his new found Third Force, the SDP.

“Although one can vouch for the political value content of Jerry Gana as a mega force political talkative, however that of Tunde Adeniran is relatively unknown other than that he was once a Federal Minister of Education with nothing to show for it than making mess of nation’s education system.

“It becomes a no good show bed room romancing story for Olusegun Obasanjo now attempting rubbing pain killing balm to the wounds and lasting pains he made Olu Falae to bear as a result of the painful outcome of the 1999 Presidential election fought only between him Olusegun Obasanjo of PDP and Olu Falae of the AD.

“It also becomes highly disturbing and nauseating to find our highly revered Olusegun Obasanjo, compatriot of the like of Nelson Mandella, Mahtama Gandi John F. Kennedy et al now dancing widely like a mad man swimming in the mucky water of Nigeria politics and riding a ‘No brake – No jam vehicle around the Nigeria political scene of shame.

“It is now time for Obasanjo to please enter the ‘DEUS EX MACHINA’ stage of self esteem.”
