State governors in crucial meeting over state police

State governors under the aegis of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum are currently in a meeting.

The meeting started at about 9pm at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The issue of state police was top on the agenda of the meeting presided over by the chairman and Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari.

According to Punch, the governors are expected to constitute a team that will interface with the National Assembly on the matter.
