Shehu Sani, senator representing Kaduna central has taken a swipe at governors over consistent trips out of their states.

This is coming at a time when the All Progressives Congress governors paid President Muhammadu Buhari a visit in Daura on friday

Rochas Okorocha said their mission to Daura, Katsina State, was merely to condole with the President over the loss of two members of his extended family.

Sani in reaction called on Buhari to put a stop to the frequent travels, which he described as unnecessary.

The lawmaker wrote on his twitter page “The President must put a stop to d new sycophantic political ritual where Governors abandon their duty post, traveling all d way on a daily basis to climb d Rock of Aso in order to pledge or renew their loyalty.

“They leave behind a moribund deputy & a people at d mercy of Gunmen.‎”
