Senator Wakil buried in Abuja

The remains of Senator Ali Wakil have been committed to mother earth according to Muslim rites.

Wakil reportedly died around 9:00 a.m. at his residence in Abuja on Saturday. He was aged 58.

The late senator was buried at Gudu District Cemetery in Abuja around 2:00 p.m. after Islamic rites were performed on his remains at the National Mosque.

His two wives and sons and daughters were present during the funeral rites.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari and other prominent Nigerian have described the demise of Wakil as monumental loss to the nation.

They all prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
