Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, has revealed that Paris Saint Germain star, Neymar is a unique player.
He, however, said fellow teammate, Angel Di Maria is a perfect replacement for the Brazilian ahead of tonight’s Champions League second leg round of 16 clash.
Neymar was discharged from a hospital in Belo Horizonte on Sunday after undergoing successful surgery on a fracture of his fifth metatarsal in his right foot. He is expected to be out of action for three months.
Ramos, who believes that there is nobody else like Neymar in the World, said Di Maria can come in for the former Barcelona forward for tonight’s game at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris.
“Neymar is a unique player, there’s nobody else like him in the world. Whatever team he’s playing for, you always have to be on your guard. We’ve come up against his talents in recent years. It could well be Di María that comes in for him and it won’t make a bit of difference. Perhaps Di María helps out more defensively and offers a greater all-around contribution,” Ramos told Real Madrid official website.
“It can give you that extra bit of pressure or motivation. We focus our season on the Champions League and the margin for error is so small that we can’t afford to give anything away. We come here to give our all and intent on making sure that we’re not found wanting in terms of our application and intensity,” he added.
The kick off time for the game is 8:45pm Nigeria time.
