Presidency confirms Buhari’s meeting with APC governors in Daura

The Presidency on Friday confirmed President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The meeting between Buhari and the APC governors, led by the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha held at the President’s hometown, Daura, Katina State earlier today.

The confirmation was made by Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Ahmad Bashir, in a tweet.

He wrote: “Today in Daura, Katsina State, President @MBuhari met with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum led by its Chairman, H.E. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.”

DAILY POST had earlier reported the arrival of the APC governors in Daura ahead of the meeting.

Reports had it that Buhari is expected to disclose his intentions to either seek reelection in 2019 or not.

Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Demi Adriana, had noted that the agenda of the meeting would be private.
