Premier League table: Man City defeat Chelsea to go 18 points clear

[ad_1]

Manchester City took another big step towards winning the Premier League title by beating Chelsea 1-0 at the Etihad on Sunday.

Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the game, turning home David Silva’s cross one minute into the second half.

The Blues barely threatened Pep Guardiola’s men, as Antonio Conte once again started without a recognized striker.

City are now 18 points clear at the top, pending Manchester United’s game at Crystal Palace on Monday.

The victory also means City now need just four more wins to be crowned champions.

For Chelsea, they now have a mountain to climb in their quest to make the top four, as they finish this game week five points behind Tottenham Hotspur.
