Premier League table: Liverpool defeat Newcastle to go second, 15 points behind Man City

Liverpool are now second on the Premier League table, following their 2-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday evening.

Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane scored for the Reds, as they eased to victory at Anfield in the late kick-off.

They now have 60 points, 15 behind leaders Manchester City.

City welcome Chelsea on Sunday.

In the other matches played on Saturday, Burnley defeated Everton 2-1, Swansea thrashed West Ham 4-1 and there were no goals between Southampton and Stoke City.

Leicester City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth, Watford pipped West Brom 1-0 and Huddersfield lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
