Liverpool will continue their campaign for the UEFA Champions League title against Porto at the Estadio do Dragao on Wednesday night.

Jurgen Klopp had promised to name “the best team that can line up”, but will not include the suspended Emre Can after the midfielder saw three yellow cards during the group stages.

The Reds defender, Joe Gomez travelled with the squad after missing the last two matches with a knee injury while record signing Virgil van Dijk is set for his first appearance in the competition for the club he joined in January.

However, Porto have never beaten the Reds in four competitive meetings.

Porto manager, Sérgio Conceição has slight worries in his squad as star players, Felipe (suspended), Danilo (calf injury) and Aboubakar (muscular injury) will all mis the encounter.

Potential Liverpool starting XI: Karius, Gomez, Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson, Milner, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Potential Porto starting XI: José Sá; Maxi Pereira, Marcano, Reyes, Alex Telles; Ricardo, Sérgio Oliveira, Herrera, Brahimi; Marega, Soares.

The kick off time for tonight UEFA Champions League games is 8.45 pm Nigerian time.
