Poland vs Nigeria: Gernot Rohr reacts to Super Eagles 1-0 away win against Poles

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has reacted to the 1-0 win over Poland in the international friendly match on Friday.

The coach called for caution in the wake of his side’s 1-0 win over Poland-the 6th best football team in the world.

He said his team have beaten Argentina and Poland because they are young and have remained humble.

The Franco-German said beating the two teams in top 10 in the FIFA ranking does not make the Eagles favourite for the World Cup, calling for more humility and hard work.

Victor Moses converted a 61st minute penalty to give Nigeria the win in Wroclaw.

Rohr said, “This team is a young team but also a team of leaders.

“If we stay humble & continue to work hard to improve our play we have huge potentials, but beating two FIFA top 10 teams in friendlies doesn’t mean we are now World Cup favourites.”

Argentina is the 3rd best team in the world while Poland is 6th.

The Super Eagles will travel to London to face Serbia on Tuesday.
