Plateau killings: Another 8 murdered at relaxation spot

The killings in Plateau communities have continued unabated as 8 people were said have been killed by suspected herdsmen in Nding loh, Fan District of Barkin Ladi LGA, of the State.

The incident, DAILY POST gathered, occurred Sunday evening at a relaxation centre within the entrance of the community.

According to a resident of the area, Mr. Barnabas Rwang, the attackers took advantage of the open relaxation spot and opened fire on the victims.

It was also gathered that the community had been under threat of attack in recent times.

DAILY POST investigations revealed that as at yesterday, six people were reported dead, while this morning another two died.

When contacted, Spokesman of the Plateau Police Command, ASP Mathias Tyopev Terna, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.

He, however, said 5 persons died immediately after the incident and that 2 out of the 3 victims taken to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, Jos, also died.
