Manchester City vs Huddersfield Town: Michael Owen predicts scoreline

Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen, has predicted that Manchester City will defeat Huddersfield by 5 goals to 0 in Sunday’s Premier League fixture.

Owen expects City to comfortably beat Huddersfield this weekend at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking in an interview with BetVictor, Owen said: “If the opening fixtures have been difficult for Arsenal the same can certainly be said of Huddersfield Town, who travel to champions Manchester City on Sunday after their opening weekend home loss to Chelsea.

“I expect City to win comfortably even though the Terriers got a valuable point in their battle against relegation in the corresponding fixture at the end of last season.

“That goalless draw was the only time Pep Guardiola’s side failed to score at the Etihad in the league last term, but I expect them to run out convincing winners on Sunday.

“Sergio Aguero has looked sharp so far this term and City’s all-time record goalscorer has scored 11 times in his last seven Premier League games at the Etihad – I feel he might be back amongst the goals at the weekend. My prediction is Manchester City 5, Huddersfield 0”.
