Lionel Messi has been removed from Barcelona’s squad that will face Malaga for “personal reasons”.
Messi will play no part for the Catalan club in LaLiga fixture and has been replaced by January signing, Yerry Mina.
“[LAST MINUTE] Change to the squad. Messi is out for personal reasons and Yerry Mina takes his place,” a tweet from the club’s official handle read.
The player’s wife, Antonella, is believed to have delivered their third son on Saturday.
Messi, 30, revealed in October 2017 that his family was to welcome another addition.
He then announced in February that a third son would be called Ciro, with Mateo and Thiago set to get a little brother.
