In a shocking incident, the Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a middle-aged man, identified as Kenneth, for allegedly hacking his 27-year-old girlfriend, Ebenezer Agada, to death. The suspect reportedly attacked her with a machete, inflicting multiple injuries and severing her left hand. He accused her of plotting to leave him for another man.
This gruesome crime has caused outrage on social media, with graphic images of the victim circulating online. The state command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the arrest, explaining that police intervention prevented a mob from lynching the suspect, which would have jeopardized the investigation.
In a statement titled ‘Operatives Arrest Suspect for Killing His Girlfriend,’ Jalige noted that the police received a distress call about the mob action and rushed to the scene to find the suspect lying unconscious. The victim, Ebenezer Agada, was taken to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead by the medical staff. Her body has been deposited at the same hospital for an autopsy.
