I hope Usain Bolt will not take my place in Dortmund – Batshuayi

Borussia Dortmund striker, Michy Batshuayi, said he hopes the former Jamaican sprinter, and 100-metre world record holder, Usain Bolt, will not take his place in the club’s attack line.

Recall that Bolt, who had a two-day trial with the German club last week, scored a header and a penalty during the training session as he continues to chase his dream of being a professional soccer player.

Batshuayi said he watched the video of Bolt’s try-out and was impressed with the eight-time Olympic champion.

“I watched the videos. He did nutmegs and scored a good goal. He’s a champion. He pushes himself beyond his limits every day,” Batshuayi told Belgian media, dhnet.be.

“He wants to beat all the records. He’s trying to establish himself in another sport, that’s classy, I’m happy for him.

“But I hope he doesn’t come and take my place!”

“It’s a bit of a shame to have missed [Bolt’s trial],” Batshuayi said. “I hope he’ll still be there when I get back and we can exchange a few passes.”

Batshuayi, who joined Dortmund from Chelsea in January, has scored six goals in seven Bundesliga appearances.
