How Lagos Government justified Bill Gates’ comment on Buhari’s economy – Jonathan’s aide, Omokri

[ad_1]

Former aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has said that the declaration of public holiday in Lagos State just because President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting the state, has vindicated Billionaire American businessman, Bill Gates over his comment on the current administration’s economic policies.

According to him, people like the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, who came out to attack Bill Gates for the comment should now see reasons with the billionaire.

Omokri also wondered why Lagos should be shut down just for the President to commission a bus station.

He twitted, “When @BillGates said @MBuhari prioritises physical capital over human capital, people like @Elrufai came out to attack him.

“But just a week after Mr Gates said truth to power, Buhari is going to Lagos and they declared a public holiday for him. Does this not vindicate Bill Gates?

“By declaring a holiday and preventing businesses from opening for work, the APC government is setting back human capital because of the physical capital of opening a bus stop.

“This is a pure example of why @BillGates said Buhari prioritises physical capital over human capital.

“It’s hard to understand the logic behind declaring public holiday and shutting down Lagos because Buhari is commissioning a bus station.

“A bus station, not even an airport or a major road. What will happen if Buhari were to commission a power station? Would they close down Nigeria?”
