House Of Reps Spots Errors in 2019 Budget, Directs Executive to Rectify Them



The House of Representatives has directed the ministries of finance and budget to reconcile discrepancies in the budget latest by Thursday.

During the second reading of the 2019 Appropriation Bill on Wednesday, detected some miscalculations in the budget presented before the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The errors therein were detected during the debate on the appropriation bill by a House member, Abubakar Adamu, who went on to raise the alarm that led to a suspension of the debate.

Adamu spotted errors in the figures of the ministries of finance, education, budget and national planning, as well as the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation
