Herdsmen killings: Presidency confirms Buhari’s visit to Benue on Monday

Following the crisis between Fulani herdsmen and farmers in Benue State, the Presidency has confirmed President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the state on Monday.

According to a tweet by Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on Friday, the president will also visit Damaturu, Yobe State and Minna, Niger State next week.

Ahmad wrote: “President @MBuhari will on Monday, visit Makurdi, Benue State and he will later in the week, visit Damaturu, Yobe State and Minna, Niger State”

President Buhari had on March 6, 2018 visited Taraba State. 

Also, the president ended a two-day working visit to Jos, the Plateau State capital yesterday.

Benue State, in recent times has been under mass attack from suspected herdsmen , who have killed several people and sacked some communities.
