Herdsmen killings: Benue govt confirms fresh attack on Guma

The Benue State government has confirmed that armed herdsmen on Thursday morning attacked Umenger community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

This confirmation was contained in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST by Governor Samuel Ortom’s Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase.

“The herders killed two and injured some of the farmers who had gone to get food from their farms.

“While we condemn this unwarranted attack, we expect that the killers will be apprehended by security agencies and brought to justice,” the statement reads in part.
