Femi Fani-kayode, former Aviation Minister, on Wednesday faulted statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari that Nigeria’s unity is “a divine arrangement”.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain maintained that Nigeria’s unity is a British arrangement and not that of God.

Reacting via tweets, the former presidential spokesman further insisted that the right of self-determination is “not sacrosanct”.

The tweets read, “Nigeria’s unity is a divine arrangement and nothing should be done to put it asunder – Pres. Buhari.

“Firstly Nigeria’s unity is NOT a divine arrangement but a British arrangement.

“Secondly the right of self-determination is not only sacrosanct but also guaranteed by int. law.”
