FA Cup: Guardiola risks ban, Delph out of Carabao Cup final against Arsenal

Fabian Delph will be suspended for Manchester City’s Carabao Cup final against Arsenal, after he was sent off in their 1-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Monday.

Delph was shown a red card just before half time, after his reckless sliding challenge caught Max Power.

Referee Anthony Taylor initially brought out a yellow card, but then showed red after protests from Wigan and talking with the fourth official.

Delph will now serve an automatic three-game ban, meaning he will also miss Premier League clashes against Arsenal and Chelsea.

City manager, Pep Guardiola, could also face a disciplinary investigation after confronting Wigan staff in the tunnel.
