Etebo invited for Super Eagles friendlies against Poland, Serbia

La Liga side, Las Palmas, have confirmed that Oghenekaro Etebo has been invited by the Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, for next month’s international friendly matches against Poland and Serbia.

Etebo, who has been one of Las Palmas standout performers since he joined the club two weeks ago, will be released by the club on March 19 for the games.

“UD Las Palmas player, Etebo, has been summoned by Nigeria for the two friendly matches that the African team will play in Poland, in Wroclaw (March 23) and against Serbia in London (March 27).

“In accordance with the provisions of the FIFA Regulations on the ‘Statute and Transfer of Players’, UD Las Palmas will release the player so that he can travel to Poland, since he must join with his team on Monday, March 19,” the club announced on their official website on Monday.

The former Warri Wolves midfielder has made 10 international appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring one goal.
