EPL: Wenger speaks on Arsenal sacking him after this season

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has said his future at the club is “his last worry”.

Wenger’s position has come under increased scrutiny, following their 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final last Sunday.

But speaking ahead of Thursday’s Premier League clash against City at the Emirates, the Frenchman said he was only focused on preparing his team.

“My position is my position. Honestly, that’s the last worry I have at the moment. My worry is to focus on getting the team ready for tomorrow’s game.

“I turned the whole world down to respect my contracts so I am amazed that I still have to answer these type of questions,” he told reporters.

It is being speculated that Arsenal will review Wenger’s position this summer and it is vert likely it will see his 22-year reign come to an end.

According to Sportmail, the Gunners have already started compiling a list of potential candidates to replace Wenger.

Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim, Germany manager Joachim Low, Celtic head coach Brendan Rodgers and Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta are among the early contenders.
