EPL: Manchester United vs Livepool: Chris Smalling speaks on Reds attacking line

Manchester United defender, Chris Smalling is confident that his club can keep Liverpool’s attacking trio of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah quiet when the two sides clash in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Smalling, speaking to MUTV ahead of the game, said despite the many goals scored by Firmino, Mane and Salah this season, United at Old Trafford can keep them quiet.

“They’ve scored a lot of goals this year, but we kept them quiet at Anfield,” he said.

“I think the fact that this game is at home means we’ll be in the ascendancy and on the front foot. It’s a case of keeping them quiet and having them worry about all of our attacking players.”

Meanwhile, in the reverse fixture, Mourinho came under mounting pressure for parking the bus and holding out for a goalless draw against Liverpool.

The kick off time for the match is 1:30pm.
