Manchester United are confident David De Gea will extend his contract with the club and reject renewed interest from Real Madrid.
De Gea has 18 months left on his current deal, with United also holding an option to extend it by another season until 2020.
However, after negotiations began earlier this season, there has been enough progress for the club to be optimistic the 27-year-old is willing to stay.
De Gea who joined from Atletico Madrid in 2011, almost returned to Spain in 2015.
Real are keen to sign a goalkeeper in the summer and have been linked with moves for De Gea and Chelsea No. 1 Thibaut Courtois.
