Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard fears the Blues could suffer at the feet of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg clash.

Chelsea will on Wednesday battle Barcelona at the Camp Nou, having drawn the first leg 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard, who was not impressed with the 2-1 victory of Antonio Conte’s men against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, said Chelsea could be in for a long night in Spain as Messi led Barca will give them a run for their lives.

“They weren’t great against Palace but they were as good as they had to be,” Lampard told Match of the Day.

“Barcelona will be completely different task.

“With my Chelsea head on, they have the team that can go there and defend and try to get goals on the break.

“But going to the Nou Camp with that man Lionel Messi will be very tough,”‎ he added.
