EPL: Arsenal players hold meeting, blame Wenger for club’s failures

Arsenal players held a meeting among themselves, where they all agreed that manager Arsene Wenger could not move the club forward.

According to the UK Guardian, a senior member of the squad delivered an emotional speech at the meeting, which was held without Wenger. The player, who was too choked up, revealed that his children were asking him why the team was so bad.

Another player stepped in and said “We are a big club, but we need more help from the coaches.”

“It’s not going to happen,” one of them replied, adding, “We need to find the answers ourselves.”

This meeting reportedly took place Tuesday this week, the day of the first training session after Sunday’s Carabao Cup final humbling against Manchester City.

It comes amid speculation that Wenger’s future at the club will be reviewed by the club’s hierarchy at the end of the season.
