Delta 2019: Vote out elements without integrity – Ojougboh

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, Delta State gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Cairo Ojougboh has called on Deltans to vote out politicians lacking integrity and with intent to bring the state to further ruin.

Ojougboh who spoke in Kwale, Ndokwa West, while flagging off his sensitization program tagged “One Man One Vote Campaign”, said that Delta State had never had it so bad.

He claimed that the Senator Ifeanyi Okowa-led government was fraught with fraud and was deficient in integrity in every material.

According to him, Okowa lied against the most revered Asaba monarch by claiming that the Chiefs in Council had urged him to run for a second term, adding that the governor had turned the State Secretariat project to a conduit pipe to siphon tax payers’ money.

He said that pushing PDP out in 2019 would not be an easy task but that it would of a certainty, be achieved.

“I am here to familiarize with the people. I am here for you to know me and for me to know you. In Delta State, it will not be easy to defeat the PDP. We can only defeat the PDP with unity and strength.

“We will check all their rigging patterns. To achieve this, we must purge ourselves. We will stop any form of rigging. We will be with you and provide security. We must be courageous and act as one. APC is not scattered. Our target for 2019 is Osadebe House in Asaba.

“It is not a do or die affair for me. I will work with whosoever that emerge as the flag bearer of the party. The purpose of this meeting is for us to build a family. Ndokwa nation has been marginalised. I share that view with you. Only APC can give you what you want,” Ojougboh stressed.

Ojougboh also threw a jab at the Deputy Governor, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, describing him as a rubber stamp and worst ever in the series of Deputy Governors.

“Otuaro is the worst deputy ever in Delta State history. Ndokwa nation should not clamour for deputy governor. Most of the projects in Delta State are NDDC projects. We must cut that corruption. Hence I am here to launch the one man one vote campaign in Ndokwa nation,” he said.
