David Beckham shocked Arsenal allowed Alexis Sanchez join Manchester United

Former Manchester United midfielder, David Beckham, has said he is still surprised that Arsenal allowed Alexis Sanchez move to Old Trafford.

Sanchez moved to United, in a swap deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan leave for the Emirates.

The Chilean has inherited the no. 7 shirt previously worn by Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I still find it hard to believe it’s actually happened. It’s amazing.

“A player of his stature and calibre has obviously come from a big club like Arsenal and then to move to a massive club like Manchester United, that for me makes me proud to be a Manchester United player because we want great players and exciting players.

“Its great to see him wear a United shirt and I’m sure he’s going to be successful,” Beckham told the Mirror at the launch of his new Miami MLS team.
