Afenifere Renewal Group, ARG, has ‚Äčcondemned the abduct‚Äčion of 110 students of the Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State‚Äč.
‚Äč
‚ÄčIt said the development has again brought to the fore the urgent need for restructuring of the country.

In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Kunle Famoriyo, ‚ÄčARG noted the incident was a sad reminder of the kidnap of Chibok girls.

‚ÄúWho would have thought we would have ‚ÄėDapchi‚Äô to contend with less than five years after Chibok incident?

‚Äč‚ÄĚ‚ÄčThe folly of kicking against true federalism matters like state police is the needless loss of young Nigerian lives.

‚Äč‚ÄĚ‚ÄčWe cannot like the ostrich continue to bury our heads in the sand.‚ÄĚ

The group said it was high time the government consider‚Äčed‚Äč ‚Äúeffective border control measures‚Äč‚ÄĚ.

‚ÄčARG also re-emphasis‚Äčed the need for the federal government ‚Äúto urgently restructure Nigeria by unbundling the Exclusive Legislative List‚Äč‚ÄĚ‚Äč.

‚ÄčMeanwhile, the federal government has reacted to ‚Äčclaims that parents of the missing schoolgirls were not part of the ‚Äčstakeholders‚Äô ‚Äčmeeting held in Damaturu‚Äč.
‚Äč

Shuaibu Bulama, Director Schools Management in the Ministry of Information, said the statement is not true and lacks substance.
