Corpse of soldier who died with Ebony Reigns to be court-martial

The corpse of the military officer, Francis Atisu Vondee, who died in a car crash with Ghanaian dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns will be court-martialled.

Ebony Reign died in an accident at Nyamebekyere near Mankranso in Ahafo Ano South, a district in the Ashanti Region on Thursday.

It was gathered from GhanaWeb that the Lance corporal asked for a sick leave but ended up in Mankranso, where he met his untimely death.

Vondee who was in a military uniform at the time of the accident, was not officially deployed for the bodyguard duties hence the reason for trail.

A source told GhanaWeb that at the end of investigations, his body will be court-marshaled and possibly sentenced to 40 days in the military guardroom, in line with the laws and statutes governing the Ghana Army.

“Being dead, his uniform will be hanged in the guardroom for 40 days after which his body be released to the family for burial.

“If found guilty, his family could be denied his benefits including insurance packages. GhanaWeb reported
