Mourinho has been charged by the Football Association, for using “improper and abusive language” following their dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle two weeks ago.
The former Chelsea boss could potentially face a touchline ban if he is found guilty.
Last season, he was sent to the stands by referee Mark Clattenburg for an incident “in or around the tunnel area during half-time” during a goalless draw with Burnley on October 29.
He subsequently served a touchline ban for the 3-1 win at Swansea on November 6 and paid a fine of £8,000.
In another incident, he was fined £50,000 for comments made about referee Anthony Taylor.
Mourinho said it would be “difficult” for Taylor to officiate United’s game at Liverpool on October 17, 2016. The match ended in a goalless draw.
