Manchester City lost 2-1 to Basle on Wednesday night, but still qualified for the last eight of the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s men won the first leg in Switzerland 4-0 and took the lead at the Etihad thanks to Gabriel Jesus.

However, Basle struck back through Mohamed Elyounoussi and Michael Lang to win the reverse fixture.

City progress with a 5-2 aggregate.

In the other match, Juventus produced a fine comeback to beat Tottenham 2-1 at Wembley Stadium and qualify on a 4-3 aggregate.

Both teams join Real Madrid and Liverpool as the four teams who have qualified for the quarter-final of the competition.

Madrid saw off Paris Saint-Germain on a 5-2 aggregate, while Liverpool went through ahead of FC Porto with a 5-0 aggregate scoreline.
