Champions League: Courtois drops major Real Madrid transfer hint after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona

Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has insisted that his agent will ‘listen’ to Real Madrid should the Spanish giants contact him over a possible move ahead of summer transfer window.

Courtois’s current contract at Stamford Bridge will expire in the summer of 2019.

Chelsea have made little progress over the Belgium international contract extension.

The 25-year-old admitted that he is still in talks with the La Liga Champions over a new deal.

The shot-stopper also clarify comments he made earlier in the month in which he said his ‘heart’ was in Madrid.

Speaking after Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona in the Champions League, Courtois told reporters: “I’m not clear about my future, what I said that my heart is in Madrid was misunderstood.

“I have two children in Spain, in Madrid, and that’s not easy. I have one year left [here] and I’m happy and talking to Chelsea.

“They have bet on me from the first moment and that is not forgotten. I do not think Florentino Perez calls me, he will call my agent and he will listen to him.”
