Carabao Cup final: Man City thrash Arsenal 3-0 to lift trophy

[ad_1]

Pep Guardiola has won his first silverware in English football, after his Manchester City side outclassed Arsenal 3-0, in the final of the Carabao Cup on Sunday evening.

The Spaniard was on course for an unlikely Quadruple, before Wigan Athletic dumped City out of the FA Cup.

However, he is set to win at least a Double, with the Citizens 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Sergio Aguero gave them the lead against the Gunners, lobbing David Ospina after shoving Shkodran Mustafi aside.

Vincent Kompany and David Silva scored in the second half, to seal a comprehensive win for City.

Both sides meet again in the Premier League on Thursday.
