President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday said the goal of his administration was to protect public trust not ‘witch hunting’

Buhari made the remark during the commissioning of the new office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

He said, “The goal of this administration is to protect public trust. We are not engaged in witch-hunting.

“My objective of fighting corruption remains steadfast.

“Emphasis must now move to improving the welfare and condition of service for the EFCC staff, and we must change the narrative of corruption in Nigeria.”

President Buhari just returned to Abuja after his two-day working visit to Jigawa State.
