Buhari, APC governors behaving like ritualists – Fani-Kayode reacts to Daura meeting

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister has said President Muhammadu Buhari and governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are behaving like “ritualits.”

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain made the remark while reacting to the meeting between the president and the APC governors in Daura, Katsina State earlier on Friday.

Fani-Kayode said Buhari should have visited the state following the massacre of 41 people by Fulani herdsmen and not hold meeting in Daura to discuss 2019.

In a tweet, the former Minister wrote: “41 people slaughtered by Fulani terrorists in Zamfara and the Governor of Zamfara and our President refuse to express concern or go there.Instead they went to Daura for a meeting with APC governors to discuss 2019. Leaders don’t behave like this:only ritualists behave like this!.”

Recall that the APC governors who visited Buhari, had said their mission to Daura, Katsina State, was merely to condole with the President over the loss of two members of his extended family.

The Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, said this when he fielded questions from newsmen after the closed door meeting.

He dismissed media reports that their mission to Daura was aimed at convincing the President to seek re-election in the 2019 presidential election.
