Borno Governor Zulum receives Certificate of Return, promises to do better

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has assured that more will be seen in the area of security, agriculture, food security, job creation and unemployment will receive a boost in the second tenure.

Speaking shortly after receiving Certificate of Return at Sir Kashim Ibrahim College of Education in Maiduguri, the state capital, on Thursday, Zulum told elected state and federal lawmakers that they don’t have the luxury of time during his second tenure as the governor of the state.

For the benefit of the citizens and residents, irrespective of ethnic or religious differences, Zulum assured the people of Borno of his effort to work hundred per cent.

He assured of youth and women empowerment, urban renewal, flood prevention and most importantly our crusade for rehabilitation and Resettlement.

He said, “Inshallah, within the next four years, we shall do everything possible to ensure that we don’t have Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and, I’m also committed to repatriate indigenes of Borno State that are living in the Republics of Chad, Niger and Cameroon.”

He said democracy is like any social adventure, involving the contest of ideas, and called on those who have not won elections to have courage and work with him to champion the course for the state.
