Benue visit: Buhari’s itinerary revealed

Benue State Government has revealed President Muhammadu Buhari’s itinerary ahead of his visit to the state tomorrow.

This was contained in a terse statement at the weekend by Tahav Agerzua Tahav, Special Adviser to Governor Samuel Ortom on Media and ICT.

It said Buhari visit will pay a courtesy call on the Chairman of the Benue State Council of Chiefs, Tor Tiv the fifth, Professor James Ayatse.

The president will later hold a meeting with major stakeholders at the Benue Peoples House in Makurdi.

Thereafter, the nation’s leader will visit one of the eight displaced persons’ camps in the state.

Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, had confirmed that the president will visit Benue State and others this week.

Ahmad had tweeted: “President @MBuhari will on Monday, visit Makurdi, Benue State and he will later in the week, visit Damaturu, Yobe State and Minna, Niger State”

Meanwhile, security presence has been increased in the state.

It was gathered that the president’s advance team arrived in Bente on Friday.

Also, bad portions on roads the president’s convoy will pass are being fixed.
