Atiku- We are still in recession, poverty endemic in Nigeria

The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday declared that Nigeria is still in recession despite the claim of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Atiku made this known while speaking at the presidential rally held in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

He said going by the recent economic reports, “Nigeria remains headquarters of poverty in the world”.

“This government came and promised to give you job and security, they promised to turn around the economy, unfortunately, everything has turned out to be deceit.

“You must not allow them to deceive you again, you must not allow rigging again in your state, you must resist every attempt to rig again.

“I am an advocate of restructuring, I mean what I said when I promised a 40 per cent affirmative for youths and 30 per cent for women, I am not Buhari, I am Atiku, I mean everything I said, mark my words”, Atiku retorted.

The National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus in his address opined that the stolen mandate of PDP in Osun and Ekiti will be restored.

He called on the new Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to serve Nigeria other than the interest of some cabal.

“You have to clear the mess of the former IGP, Idris Ibrahim, who served APC and not Nigerian people”.

Also, the Chairman of PDP in Osun State, Hon . Soji Adagunodo asserted that the people of Osun would give Atiku 80 per cent of their votes come February 16.

“No other party apart from PDP can deliver dividends of democracy in Nigeria. PDP and its candidate has already won the election, you must go out and resist rigging”, Adagunodo said.

Meanwhile, the former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, while addressing the mammoth crowd at the venue of the event opined that there was consensus amongst different stakeholders in Nigeria that Atiku is the only solution to Nigeria’s problems.

“When Buhari was campaigning, he was talking about restructuring, he emerged and changed narrative, saying he doesn’t understand restructuring, meaning that all that they have said were nothing but a clear-cut deceit.

“The security situation in Nigeria has continued to degenerate beyond redemption, the security situation from Zamfara, Borno and Katsina are worrisome”.
