Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, has fervently insisted that all Nigerians should rally behind the forthcoming administration of President-elect, Bola Tinubu, scheduled to assume office on May 29. He emphasized the inevitability of the change in leadership and urged the citizens to contribute positively to the incoming government’s stability.
During a roundtable discussion with traditional and religious leaders organized by the World Bank on Wednesday in Abuja, the Sultan sought prayers for the success of Tinubu’s tenure.
“There must be change because, in the next few days or weeks, there will be a new government; what can we contribute to that government to stabilize?” Abubakar questioned. He encouraged citizens to go beyond prayers, emphasizing the importance of active participation in fostering a stable government and moving the nation forward.
The Sultan further charged Nigerians to embrace unity, fairness, and justice as they prepare for the incoming administration. His call underscores the significance of national cohesion and collective effort in building a prosperous and stable nation under the new leadership.
