Seven persons, 39 cows and eight goats were Wednesday killed when a fuel tanker and a trailer collided along Magama Jos-Bauchi road in Bauchi state.

DAILY POST learnt that the sad accident occurred exactly at a security checkpoint when a fuel tanker lost control and smashed a trailer conveying 31 goats already cleared by the security.

The development resulted to fire disaster on both vehicles with seven people burnt to ashes, including goats.

Bauchi State spokesman, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST and regretted the sad event.

Abubakar attributed the incident to reckless driving by the fuel tanker driver, saying lack of patience is a major challenge on the high ways.
