2019: Ex-Deputy gov, Tallen speaks on Buhari’s re-election

Pauline Tallen, a former deputy Governor of Plateau State, has revealed who will decide if President Muhammadu Buhari will be re-elected, in 2019.

The former Minister of State for Science and Technology said only God will decide Buhari’s fate in the next election.

Speaking in Jos, the Plateau State capital, the Deputy Governor said God will ensure Buhari’s victory if the president must continue his assignment.

She also recalled that Buhari came into power when the nation was bombarded by explosives.

Noting that the president has the constitutional right as a Nigerian to seek re-election, she said Buhari’s election in 2015 saved the country from being overrun by Boko Haram insurgents.

She said: “Without his coming, not just the northeast, we would have been over-run by Boko Haram. People don’t remember that security is important, we were having bombs in various parts of this country.

“God chooses leaders and if we are to be sincere and look at events, if God did not want President Buhari to be there, there is no way he would have defeated an incumbent president who had all the resources at his disposal.

“If God wants him to continue and complete the assignment He has given to him, then he will.”
