2019: APC speaks on Buhari’s declaration to seek second term

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Youths Renaissance has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over his formal declaration to seek re-election in 2019.

The youths expressed “great joy and excitement” over Buhari’s decision to accept what they termed “our clarion call as well as that of many Nigerians” to seek a second term.

In a statement signed and sent to DAILY POST by its National Secretary, Collins Edwin, the youths said “Nigeria has indeed began its journey to real greatness”

The statement added, “We have long ago endorsed him as our presidential candidate, but for accepting our clarions call as well as that of many Nigerians at this defining moment of our national history is truly worth celebrating.

“This is a president who has re-positioned the battered image of Nigeria within the shortest time frame he has being in the office. Our country is no longer a pharia state as investors confidence in Nigeria is now unprecedented.

“While we solicit the understanding of statesmen in this noble task of reelecting President Buhari, we however urge all supporters of our great party to embark on grassroots sensitisation campaigns by taking the message of Mr. President as well as the manifestos of our great party to the Nigerian people.

“With President Buhari’s acceptance to consolidate on the democratic gains or dividends established in the last three years, Nigeria has indeed began its journey to real greatness.”
