2018 World Cup: Zlatan Ibrahimovic gives conditions to play for Sweden

LA Galaxy’s new signing, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he will only come out of international retirement and play in this summer’s World Cup in Russia if he ‘feels well’.

Ibrahimovic hung up his Sweden boots in June 2016 after scoring 62 goals in 116 games for his country.

The 36-year-old has been linked with making a return following Sweden qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia after finishing second in their qualifying group, behind France.

“If I feel well, capable of giving what I can, the door will always be open. If I want to I’ll be there, if not no,’ Ibrahimovic told the official MLS website.

“I want to play football, we’ll see what happens. They call me every day, they ask me how am I doing, but we need to take a step at a time. I repeat if I feel well and if I want to, I’ll be there,” he added.
