What Tinubu’s ex-CSO said after assuming office as Kwara CP

The new Commissioner of Police in Kwara, CP Kayode Egbetokun, has declared that criminals have no place in the state.

Egbetokun, a former chief security officer to ex-Lagos governor, Bola Tinubu, made the declaration in Ilorin on Sunday during his maiden press conference.

The new CP declared his commitment to Human Rights and protection of lives and property.

“Criminals will not have a place in the state. Kwara will be too hot for them.

“They have two choices, either they change their ways of life or relocate to other states,” the CP declared.

Egbetokun appealed to the people of Kwara to always support the Police Command, adding that he would need the support of the people to succeed in his assignment.

“For the police to succeed, the support of the people is very important, the Command cannot succeed without the people’s support,” he added.

The CP said he was in Kwara to discharge his duty with vigour, honour and integrity.

He noted that he was satisfied with the arrangement he met on ground as regard preparation of the police for the coming elections.

Egbetokun promised to provide level playing ground for all the political parties in the state.

“I am committed to the rule of law and principle of fairness and justice,” the CP added.
