Manchester United will not sell Eric Bailly this summer.

The Ivorian defender has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Jose Mourinho looking to reinforce his defence ahead of the new season.

But according to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have assured Bailly that his future is secured at the club, as they look to sign Leicester’s Harry Maguire and Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld before the transfer market closes.

Bailly has played in every of United’s pre-season games and he is most likely to start their Premier League opener against Leicester City on August 10.

The 24-year-old has been with the Premier League club for two years, but has started only 35 matches, because of injury problems.
