Transfer: Higuain set to return to Premier League with London club

West Ham are trying to bring back former Chelsea striker, Gonzalo Higuain, from Juventus, Sky Italia reports.

The 31-year-old spent the final four months of last season on loan at Stamford Bridge, scoring five goals in 18 matches for the Blues.

After failing to secure a permanent move to Chelsea, Higuain returned to Turin where he has two more years on his Juventus contract.

But the Argentine’s future with the Italian champions is up in the air, despite the appointment of former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.

Higuain could yet be afforded another chance to shine in London, as West Ham have proposed a season-long loan deal to bring him to the London Stadium.

It’s claimed Juventus would prefer to sell the striker outright and are said to value him at around £40million.

West Ham’s loan offer would likely include an option to buy.
