PHOTONEWS: Mohammed Adamu decorated as new IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari decorated Mohammed Adamu as the new acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Tuesday.

Mohammed was decorated with his new rank during a meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Also at the meeting was the outgoing IGP, Ibrahim Idris.

Adamu had served as Commissioner of Police in Enugu State.

He was one-time director of peacekeeping operations of the Force.

Adamu had been the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone Five, in Benin, Edo State.

He was also a directing staff member at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State.
